About this file

This is a Project Overview document from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) detailing renovations to the Ladd Canyon Salt Shed located at 64176 Hot Lake LN, La Grande, OR. The project involves replacing the existing fabric-clad walls, which have not performed well in high wind conditions, with new prefinished metal panels. The scope includes flashing the metal wall panels to the concrete block foundation and gable walls to the roof for weather protection, as well as replacing an existing roll-up door with an insulated sectional overhead door. The contractor must coordinate with ODOT Project Managers to determine the appropriate construction start time, as the facility is actively used by winter maintenance crews.

The project requires contractors to provide five days' notice before work commencement and two days' notice for major deliveries. Contractors must submit contact information for their project manager, site superintendent, and all subcontractors. The project includes specific inspection milestones, with ODOT Project Manager inspections required within three business days for Substantial Completion and five business days for Final Completion. A punchlist process is required, and contractors must submit marked-up record drawings at project completion. No pricing terms, set-asides, or funding information is provided in this document.
