About this file
This is a collections inventory and condition assessment document for museum artifacts, likely from a cultural or historical institution. The spreadsheet provides detailed cataloging and conservation recommendations for approximately 15 items including furniture, musical instruments, and decorative objects.
The inventory identifies artifacts ranging from high-priority items in poor condition (Priority 1) to lower-priority items in excellent condition (Priority 3). Notable high-priority pieces in poor condition include an armchair (Item 63) requiring mold mitigation and custom Tyvek dustcover protection, a stove hood (Item 73) with severe grease and corrosion requiring 16 hours of treatment, and an upholstered sofa (Item 95) with heavy soiling and structural damage requiring 120 hours of treatment. Additional significant items include a violin and case associated with Bernice and Mrs. King (Item 266, rated Good/Fair condition), a piano by Fischer of New York (Item 544, poor condition with water damage requiring 80 hours of treatment), and various wooden furniture pieces including credenzas, end tables, curio cabinets, and display stands. Treatment recommendations specify conservation actions such as surface cleaning, stabilization, wood finishing, metal corrosion treatment, textile repair, and custom protective enclosures. Time estimates for treatment and documentation range from 5 to 140 hours depending on item complexity and condition severity. The document also includes dimensions, material composition, and preventive storage actions for each artifact to guide facility and conservation planning.
