About this file

This document is a brand guidelines manual for the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department, outlining comprehensive visual and communication standards for the organization. The brand kit provides detailed guidance on logo usage, including the department's primary logo and program-specific logos for TASCO, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, and Healthy St. Pete, with strict rules about maintaining logo integrity, minimum dimensions, and proper application across digital and print materials.

The manual establishes a precise color palette aligned with the City of St. Petersburg's branding, featuring nine specific colors including Resilient Red, Citrus, Sunrunner, and Gulf Coast Grape. Typography guidelines are extensive, specifying fonts for primary headings (ITC Franklin Gothic), secondary headings (Lato Bold), paragraph text (Lato Regular), and an accent font (Bodoni URW). Photography guidelines emphasize using high-quality images that capture community life, with recommendations for image selection and usage. The document also includes copywriting standards covering dates, times, addresses, phone numbers, and general writing principles, and concludes with ADA compliance requirements for all digital and print materials.

BRAND COLORS

The brand colors align with the City’s designated branding colors. These colors do not replace the City’s logo brand colors but instead evoke an added variety, charm and intrigue for digital and print assets.

The addition of Gulf Coast Grape designates a more unique opportunity to brand parks and recreation specific programs, campaign and messaging assets, specifically the department’s website.
