About this file
This document is an Attachment C file containing definitions and acronyms for a VA contract related to eyeglass dispensing and fabrication. The definitions section clarifies key terms such as "Contracted Medical Personnel," "Contractor," "Contracting Officer," and "Delivery Order," while providing precise meanings for contract-specific terminology. The extensive acronyms list covers over 50 abbreviations related to federal contracting, healthcare, and VA-specific terminology, including NAICS, HIPAA, VAMC, and other relevant organizational and procedural acronyms.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice (RFI) for an Industry Day event scheduled for October 28-29, 2025, in Golden, Colorado, focused on eyeglass services. Registration is required by October 22, 2025, and companies must submit company details, business size, and type (e.g., Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business). Each participating company is limited to five representatives and must bring subject matter experts in optical fabrication, IT connectivity, and billing. The event is specifically for the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to contract.
