About this file

This is an appendix to a federal contract solicitation providing cemetery-specific information and technical specifications for Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located at 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. The document establishes monument types and inscription requirements for headstones and markers at the facility, with the Executive Director listed as Marty Fury and the ACOR as Mr. Pete Jacobs. Contact is available at (314) 845-8320.

The contract requires contractors to provide four primary monument types: granite thin flat markers with 3-inch inscriptions (Product Code J1), memorial wall markers in marble (Product Code A1), niche covers with inscription scenarios (Product Code I1), and upright marble headstones measuring 13" x 42" x 4" (Product Code U1/R2). Each monument type is referenced to specific technical drawings with revision dates ranging from 2016 to 2019. Inscription specifications are governed by detailed standards for letters, fonts, numbers, and characters referenced in drawings A-LFN&OC-1 through 3, and emblem of belief specifications are provided across six drawing sets (A-EM Cover Page through A-EM-6) with revisions current through January 2025. Reverse inscriptions on headstones require selection of the R2 engrave requirement. All contract work at the cemetery must be performed between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays, with authorization for non-standard hours requiring written approval from the cemetery director and ACOR at no additional cost to the Government. The document includes a detailed cemetery map indicating sections, buildings, and operational areas.
