About this file

This document contains a letter of collaboration template and details of a federal grant opportunity through the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program. The letter of collaboration template provides guidance for USGS collaborators to commit specific efforts on a proposed project, including a 1500 character limit to describe collaboration details. The federal grant opportunity is a yearly announcement through the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program to support research in earthquake hazards, physics, occurrence, and safety policy. Eligible applicants include unrestricted and other entity types. The funding is authorized by the Earthquake Hazards Reduction Act and its reauthorization. The associated federal grant program is the Earthquake Hazards Program Assistance under CFDA 15.807 to support earthquake hazards research and monitoring. Awards are made to develop information, knowledge, and methods relevant to the program's assessment, characterization, monitoring and reporting on earthquake hazards elements.
