About this file
This is a Specifications document (Attachment B) for an asphalt re-paving project at the ODOT La Grande Maintenance Station, located at 3014 Island Ave in La Grande, Oregon, in Union County. The project involves removing and disposing of existing asphalt, performing subgrade stabilization as directed by the engineer, and placing two lifts of commercial-grade asphalt to a total compacted depth of 4 inches. The finish grade must match existing door elevations and slope away from building structures, with final surfaces matching existing elevations at all boundaries. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the work. The contractor must obtain underground utility locates in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements and meet with the State Contact Person (Ace Clark, 541-963-1583) for a pre-work conference at a mutually agreed-upon time. No pre-bid conference is required, but bidders are solely responsible for inspecting the site prior to submission. Payment will be based on actual, measured quantities rather than estimated quantities provided in OregonBuys, which serve only as a bidding guide.
All excavated materials from site preparation and subgrade stabilization become the contractor's property and must be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and Section 00290. The contractor shall provide per-item pricing for all work. ODOT reserves the right to adjust quantities (add or delete) as needed during project execution. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, funding sources, or contract term information is provided in this specifications document.
