About this file
This document is a detailed Specifications Attachment (Attachment B) for a laundry and linen service contract for the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home (NWLVH) located in Bossier City, Louisiana. The contract covers a one-year period from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, with the vendor responsible for providing complete laundry and linen service including washing, drying, folding, and delivery of vendor-provided linens. The service requires two weekly pick-ups of soiled linens between Monday and Friday during normal business hours, with return of clean linens, and provisions for weekend linen supply if needed. NWLVH prefers a vendor located within 115 miles of the facility, and the vendor will be required to attend an initial meeting to review logistics, delivery areas, schedules, and contact points.
The pricing structure is based on a per-item bid fee that covers rental, laundering, delivery, carts, and all associated costs, with billing based on actual items delivered. The contract specifies that no additional fees will be accepted without prior written agreement, and linen shortage fees are capped at $150 per month. The vendor must provide 100% of linens and carts, launder items in a professional manner, ensure pressed and minimally wrinkled bed linens, and follow strict infection control standards as recommended by CDC, OSHA, and APIC. The facility reserves the right to reject any deliveries that do not meet cleanliness and infection control standards, and the vendor and NWLVH will periodically review and adjust par levels based on usage.
