Shipyard Labor: The Contractor’s fully loaded man-hour rate will be used for negotiating change orders, if necessary. The contractor agrees that the number of man hours included in its price proposal for such modifications shall include only direct production man-hours. For these purposes, direct production man-hours are for skilled labor at the journeyman level expended in direct production, inspection, repair, or installation as exemplified by the following functions:
Foremen and Shop Supervisors General Labor Rigging Staging/scaffolding Welding Machinists (inside and outside) Fire Watch Burning Brazing Abrasive cleaning/blasting Tank cleaning Carpentry Electrical Work
Lagging Ship-fitting Painting Sheet-metal Work Pipefitting Diesel Mechanics Marine Chemist Nondestructive Testing Navigation/Communications Electronics Hydraulic Crane and winch inspection and maintenance Material handling & Warehousing
Project Management & Engineering: Project Management & Engineering support functions shall be considered to be included in the Offeror’s fully loaded rate for direct production man-hours. Examples of support functions include:
