About this file

This document is a Floating Dock Required Specifications sheet that establishes technical and design requirements for a modular floating dock system.

The dock must feature a "T" shape configuration with a long main walkway measuring 32'-40' in length and a wide top section of 32'-40' facing open water. The top of the "T" must be positioned at least 40' from shore. The entire structure must be secured using heavy-duty chains connected to the shore with zero vertical pilings or poles used in water or on shore. All sections must detach easily to enable complete removal from the lake prior to winter storage. Individual sections must measure 8'-9' in width and 8'-10' in length, with each section capable of safely supporting a minimum of 2,000 pounds. Sections connect via modular joints that allow rapid disconnection. Hardware requirements include cleats positioned on the lake-facing top portion of the "T" shape, spaced at minimum intervals of one cleat every 8 feet along the front edge to facilitate vessel mooring operations.
