About this file
This document is a Standard Insurance Requirements document from the University of Colorado's University Risk Management department, specifically applicable to contractors performing services for the Anschutz Medical Campus. The document outlines comprehensive insurance coverage requirements for contractors, including mandatory minimums for Commercial General Liability (with a $2,000,000 general aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence limit), Automobile Liability (including owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles with a $1,000,000 bodily injury/property damage limit), Workers Compensation (statutory coverage), and Third Party Fidelity/Crime Insurance (covering 50% of contract value or $100,000, whichever is greater).
The insurance requirements are designed to protect the University of Colorado, with specific provisions such as naming "The Regents of the University of Colorado" as an Additional Insured, requiring a Certificate of Insurance before work commences, and mandating that all insurers be licensed in Colorado with an acceptable A.M. Best rating. Contractors must provide primary, non-contributory insurance policies and notify the University within seven days of any coverage changes. The document also emphasizes that failure to fully comply with these insurance requirements may be considered a material breach of contract and could result in immediate contract termination, reserving the University's right to negotiate additional specific insurance requirements.
