About this file
This document outlines additional emergency fire precautions for a construction and service contract with the USDA Forest Service Angeles National Forest. The contract is for the FY23 Powerhouse Veg and Fuels project. The document specifies fire prevention requirements at different fire activity levels that allow operations to continue with additional precautions in place of prohibiting operations. At Level C, requirements include a fire patrol person, equipment inspections, on-board fire extinguishers, and an immediately available portable water tank. More stringent precautions are outlined for Level D, such as more frequent inspections and additional firefighting equipment. The contract number and solicitation for the related federal opportunity for the FY23 Lake Fire Sawmill Liebre Reforestation & Integrated Fuels project with the Department of Agriculture Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region are also provided.
