About this file

This is a bid sheet pass/fail criteria document for a CDL Skills Test Examiner position with the Kentucky State Police (KSP), specifically for Post 4 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications across five evaluation categories to advance in the selection process. The criteria include a driving record assessment (demerit points threshold unspecified in the document), possession of a High School Diploma or GED, and either prior or current experience as a Class A or B CDL operator or prior experience as a CDL Skills Test Examiner, with experience defined as performing substantially similar duties for at least one year. Applicants claiming prior CDL examiner experience must provide clear documentation of the exact nature and location of such experience, and may be required to submit supporting documentation.

Additional pass/fail criteria include presentation of certifications or formal training in professional commercial vehicle operations, safety, and compliance, with applicants required to submit documentation to support claims in this area; insufficient documentation may result in contract non-award. Applicants must also demonstrate availability and scheduling flexibility for examinations during normal Monday through Friday business hours, with preference given to those available during standard hours or capable of rearranging schedules to accommodate examination scheduling. All applicants must provide written consent to the Kentucky State Police to conduct an initial criminal history records check and authorize updated checks every four years throughout the contract term.
