STRUCTURE EVALUATION SUMMARY

This weathering steel warren thru-truss bridge is in good condition overall, and only minor maintenance is needed at this time. The recommended maintenance includes fastening loose timber running planks and replacing deteriorated planks tighten the fasteners in the railing posts at rail splice connections cleaning debris off bridge components placing engineered riprap at the abutments and trimming/removing vegetation that is growing near the bridge.

Consideration should also be given to installing an approach guardrail system to help improve motorist safety.
