About this file
This document is an Executive Summary Template for the DARPA Young Faculty Award (YFA) Program 2025, a federal grant opportunity. The YFA program aims to fund early career researchers to develop innovative research that enables transformative Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities.
The template provides instructions for preparing the one-page executive summary, which must be completely anonymized and include: a summary of the effort, background on the problem being addressed, the anticipated impact, and the proposed methodologies. The executive summary is part of the application package for the YFA grant, which is sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) under the Research and Technology Development program (CFDA 12.910). Key details include the funding instrument (cooperative agreement), eligible applicant types, and the goal of identifying and engaging rising researchers to work on national security issues.
