Privacy Instructions

It is the responsibility of contractors to read, know and follow these privacy instructions.

You are also responsible for your staff knowing, agreeing to and following these instructions.

While doing work for ECS you may see individuals or names of individuals that we serve

(our clients) and you may see or come in contact with written information about individuals we serve. You may even recognize some of these individuals.

All information we have about individuals we serve, including their names and the fact that they are getting services from ECS, is protected by State and Federal Law.

You may not read or access any confidential materials that you come across during the course of your work at ECS.

If in the course of your work you access locked areas of a building, you must leave the area locked when you leave unless you are specifically instructed otherwise.

As a contractor of ECS, failure to maintain the confidentiality of the individuals we serve, or accessing confidential information without authorization (such as reading a chart or other client related information) is a violation of Federal and State Law and may lead to cancellation of your contract with ECS and possible legal sanctions under Federal and

State privacy laws.

Agreement

As a condition of my agreement or contract to do work for ECS, I agree to abide by these privacy requirements and instructions. Furthermore, I agree that all of my employees will be informed of these requirements and will agree to be bound by them. If I become aware that one of my employees has violated these requirements I will immediately inform ECS of this.
