About this file

This document contains a Tailored Comment Matrix template and instructions for a federal solicitation opportunity. The Tailored Comment Matrix is a Microsoft Excel file provided to allow potential offerors to provide feedback, comments, and questions regarding a released RFP. It includes a table with all labeled elements from the RFP for offerors to respond to the government. Offerors can select comment types of critical, substantive, or administrative and include their questions, comments and justifications in the provided columns. The government will then respond in the subsequent columns.

The related federal contract opportunity notice provides details for a construction project by the Department of Veterans Affairs North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. The solicitation will be issued on July 28, 2021 via beta.SAM.gov for project number 573-18-605 to expand and renovate the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. The project includes HVAC and code compliance work as well as bid alternates. The contractor will be provided 365 days to complete the work. The NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract within 120 days of bid receipt. All questions should be directed to the email listed by the specified date, and the solicitation provides the sole source of official information.
