About this file

This is a comprehensive set of 100% construction document drawings and specifications for a pharmacy hazardous mixing room renovation project at the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center (OVAMC), Lake Baldwin Campus, located at 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando, Florida.

The project encompasses approximately 850 square feet of renovation work for Pharmacy spaces including Mixing Room 235, IV Prep Room 235C, Ante Room 235B, and Chemo Prep Room 235A, designed to comply with USP Chapter 797 (Pharmaceutical Compounding—Sterile Preparations) and Section 800 (Hazardous Drugs) requirements. The scope includes complete architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology systems integration. Key architectural elements include construction of ISO Class 7 hazardous and non-hazardous buffer rooms with negative and positive pressure controls, resinous epoxy flooring and wall systems, fire-rated partitions, and specialized pass-through airlocks. The mechanical systems feature a new air handling unit (AHU-1) with variable frequency drives, 45+ air changes per hour, precise humidity and temperature control, fan filter units (FFU-235A through FFU-235H), and dedicated exhaust fans with HEPA filtration. Plumbing includes medical gas systems (oxygen, medical air, medical vacuum), stainless steel sinks with sensor faucets, thermostatic mixing valves, and gravity and pressure drainage systems. Electrical systems involve connections to existing panels (C2P3, N2H, N2P3), new lighting fixtures with occupancy sensors and 0-10V dimming controls, fire alarm integration, and temporary pharmaceutical trailer power requirements (400A disconnect with concrete-encased duct bank). The project also includes a temporary mobile pharmacy trailer to remain operational during renovations, with full utilities coordination and site restoration requirements upon completion. Construction documents are dated January 23, 2026, and are 100% design development phase, with project number 675-24-106 and coordinated by RDC/JPA Architects and Above Group, Inc.
