About this file
This document is a Privacy Act Statement from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) detailing the legal framework for collecting and using information related to federal research and development agreements. The statement outlines the statutory authorities governing information collection, including various Public Laws, Executive Orders, and Department of Defense instructions, with a primary purpose of processing and maintaining records for federal grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, and other research-related transactions.
The document emphasizes that information submission is voluntary but warns that non-compliance with disclosure requirements, particularly under 42 U.S. Code § 6605, may result in application rejection. The routine uses of collected information include sharing with contractors, grantees, experts, and law enforcement agencies when necessary to accomplish agency functions or investigate potential legal violations. The form includes signature lines for a covered individual and an institution's authorized representative, allowing for formal acknowledgment of consent to these information handling practices.
