STATEMENT OF WORK
PROJECT ZQEL 24-0012
SUSTAIN BASE ROADS AND PARKING
1. LOCATION: The site of work contemplated herein is at the Youngstown Air Reserve Base, located adjacent to the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, in Trumbull County, in Vienna, Ohio, 11 miles due North of Youngstown, Ohio.
2. SCOPE: This project involves marking and striping of the base roadways and parking areas, catch basin replacement, and asphalt replacement.
2.1 All roadways and parking lots are to be either marked or striped per specifications and drawings. Existing markings can still be seen both on the roads and parking areas which will negate layout costs. We will provide approximate S.F., L.F., and Ea. (Pavement Marking Letters 24” and Handicap symbols). The contractors are to verify actual amounts.
2.2 The government will furnish maps of the base showing zones. This work will require coordination from both contractor and government personnel to streamline the work process. The contractor has the option to work weekends at no additional cost to the government. There would be less traffic to interfere if performed on weekends. During each month the installation has weekend drill usually 1st and 3rd weekend of the month. These weekends would be unavailable. Normal work hours are from 0700-1700 and any work outside of these times must be approved by contracting and Security Forces.
2.3 Along with the Marking and striping there will be approximately 15,000 L.F. of sealant required to repair cracks in existing asphalt paving, light traffic areas. Sealant will be rapid set, ½” wide x 1” deep throughout the base.
2.4 Parking Lot of Building 407 has a catch basin that needs removed and replaced per specifications and drawings.
2.5 Perimeter Road has an area of asphalt road approximately 10’ X 55’that requires removal and replacement. The existing asphalt is approximately 1 ½” in depth that has peeled off the base course and will require replacement along with 1 ½” layer of top course and compaction.
TIME SCHEDULE:
3. Time of project will be 60 days.
4. Full scale drawings along with 11X17 with notes will be supplied.
