Attachment 7 Sample Task Orders
W911RX-XX-D-XXXX – Aerial Spraying Task Order XXXX - Request for Proposal 20XX Honeysuckle Treatment
Task:
Treat approximately 500 acres of honeysuckle in tracts identified by the Government. Final tracts will be selected from the attached map in and around the general areas indicated.
Treatment must be accomplished by rotor winged aircraft.
The Government will provide a final map of the treatment blocks in late-August 20XX along with the associated shapefiles.
Timing:
Treatment dates - Approximate dates of 15 OCT – 30 NOV 20XX. (Treatment normally occurs when 75% plus tree leaves have dropped from trees and honeysuckle is still actively photosynthesizing.)
Ground Review of Treatment Areas – The Contractor shall conduct a ground review of the treatment areas during the month of September.
Treatment Rates:
3.2% concentration rate of an aquatic glyphosate in a minimum of 10 gallons solution per acre. Contractor shall utilize large droplet producing nozzles and apply the product at an airspeed below 35 knots/hour.
Control Desired:
Target control on honeysuckle is 90%. However, since actual control is not determinable until the following growing season, the Contractor shall provide the Government the final GPS information that indicates the treatment areas and swaths flown as proof of work completed.
Notes:
The Government will inform the Contractor when the conditions are correct for treatment. The Contractor shall coordinated with the Government to start treatment within 5 business days of notification if areas are available and weather conditions are appropriate. Due to the nature of training and other military related activities, the treatment may be spread over several days and over several weeks. The Government will attempt to have areas available that allow the best use of the aircraft’s ability.
Since spray applications are being performed near urban areas, rivers, streams and sensitive ecological sites which require little leeway for chemical drift to non-target areas, only rotary-wing aircraft will be used to fly this mission.
Approval may be provided for a remote Contractor ground support and resupplying operations base during the aerial spraying mission portion of this contract upon the approval of the COR and Chief, Range Branch, DPTMS.
The Contractor shall provide two-way radio communications equipment that shall be able to communicate with Contractor ground support personnel, MAAF Control Tower and Government COR.
