About this file

This document is a Pile Driving Report Form provided by Sarasota County, Florida for use in the Navigational Aid Repair Project (Quick Quote 2026-QQ-627). The form serves as the standardized documentation tool that contractors must complete to report installation specifications for each of the six navigational aid markers being replaced across three County waterway channels: the San Remo Channel (three markers), Big Pass Channel (one marker), and Lido Key Channel near Big Pass (two markers). The form requires contractors to record project name, contractor information, and installation date, followed by detailed specifications for each marker including marker identification, latitude/longitude coordinates, piling type and length, driving method, pile embedment depth, substrate type, water depth, equipment used, and length of excess pile removed. The contractor must certify that all reported information is true, correct, and complete, with signature and date required. The project must be completed within thirty calendar days of the County's Notice to Proceed, with work performed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) unless otherwise approved. Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted by February 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., and bids are due electronically by February 11, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.

The solicitation establishes a lump-sum price bid cap of $50,000, with award made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total bid price. Contractors must possess at least one active Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation license as either a Certified Marine Specialty Contractor or Certified Marine Pile Driving Specialty Contractor and must submit a minimum of two references demonstrating similar experience. All contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation per Florida Statutes Chapter 440, Commercial General Liability of not less than $1,000,000 each occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Business Automobile Liability of not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit, and Marine Liability (Protection & Indemnity) insurance of not less than $1,000,000 each occurrence with Sarasota County named as additional insured; all insurance carriers must be licensed in Florida and maintain an A.M. Best's Financial Strength Rating of A- Class VII or better. All materials are warranted for one year from County acceptance or the standard manufacturer warranty, whichever is greater. The solicitation contains no specific set-asides for disadvantaged or minority-owned enterprises, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified. A contingency of up to ten percent of the total bid price may be allowed for unforeseen circumstances subject to written County approval, and the County may purchase additional quantities at quoted unit prices for up to one year following award, provided total purchases do not exceed the $50,000 threshold.
