About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity involving furniture replacement for a military dormitory (99 CES Form Furniture). The Q&A covers critical details about the furniture removal and installation project, including logistical requirements such as staging storage containers in the parking lot, removing existing furniture and window coverings, and working around occupied rooms. Specific requirements include removing 2 under bed chests, 1 wardrobe, 1 bed frame, 1 mattress, and 1 nightstand from each dorm room, with strict specifications that no alternative sizes or colors will be accepted.
Key operational details include: no elevator is available, furniture will be moved via walkways on each floor, deliveries must enter through the commercial gate in Area 2, and room completions can be flexible if coordinated with Airman Dorm Leaders. Payment terms specify that no progress payments will be authorized, with full payment made only after complete delivery and installation. The contracting agency requires the contractor to be a small business under NAICS 337122, and due to late answers being posted, the quote due date will be extended. Suppliers must enter through the commercial gate and coordinate closely with base leadership during the furniture replacement process.
