About this file
This is a preventive maintenance checklist for BacT/ALERT 3D Combination Module and VITEK 2/VITEK 2 XL laboratory analyzer systems manufactured by bioMerieux. The checklist outlines detailed maintenance procedures and validation steps required to service these laboratory diagnostic instruments.
The checklist includes specific maintenance tasks such as system updates, database backups, temperature monitoring, printer maintenance, fan checks, voltage testing, UPS battery replacement, optical sensor cleaning, and calibration procedures. Key measurement parameters that must be validated include incubator temperatures (35.5°C ± 1.0°C), vacuum calibration (0.89 ± 0.04 PSIA), and sealer current (8.5 ± 0.1 A). The document requires recording serial numbers, software versions, firmware versions, and test results for various components. Regular replacement intervals are specified for parts like UPS batteries (every 3 years), cooling fans (every 5 years), and reflective standards (every 2 years). The checklist appears to be associated with a Defense Health Agency contract for laboratory equipment maintenance at U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa.
