About this file

This document is a memorandum from the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) approving the selection of up to 3 manufacturers for Fire Alarm Panels at various Air Force installations. The approved manufacturers are Monaco, Notifier, and Simplex. After 5 years, AFCEC will repeat the analysis to document progress in standardizing fire alarm panels and consider any changes. If the Base Civil Engineer determines a change is required, a new Memorandum of Request and analysis will be accomplished.

The related federal contract opportunity is for a design-build project to repair the fire suppression systems in Buildings 154 and 155 at Travis Air Force Base. The contractor shall provide design services and all work must comply with applicable codes and regulations, including abatement of any hazardous materials. The government will not accept verbal questions, and answers to written questions will be posted to SAM.gov. The site visit is scheduled for 12 June 2024.
