About this file
This document is a List of Sustainable Products template that outlines requirements for bio-based and EPA-designated items in federal contracts. The form includes three columns for listing Bio-Based Products, unnamed middle column products, and EPA-Designated Items, with 10 numbered rows in each column for contractors to complete.
The document details requirements under FAR 52.223-15 for energy-efficient products (ENERGY STAR or FEMP-designated) and FAR 52.223-17 for EPA-designated items in service and construction contracts. Program Officials must consider bio-based products when developing contract requirements and conduct market research on their availability and cost. The template covers various product categories including construction, landscaping, vehicular, transportation, park and recreation, paper, non-paper, and miscellaneous items. Links are provided to EPA's Comprehensive Procurement Guideline program and resources for energy-efficient products.

Bio-Based Prodcuts

When developing the statement of work, performance based work statement, statement of objective, product item descriptions for a contract requirement that contains Biobased products, program personnel should conduct market research to determine availability and cost of the biobased products.
