The Attachment provides a template for offerors to report on the manufacturing origin and U.S. content percentage for various vehicle components, including chassis, frame, axles, engine, etc. It states that if the U.S. origin content is less than 80%, the proposed equipment does not meet the Vehicle and Equipment Procurement Standard. The Attachment also includes a table for offerors to provide information on alternative equipment that meets the procurement restrictions, including the vendor location, compliance with the 636(i) requirements, whether it meets the Statement of Work specifications, and explanations for any deviations or waivers.
The related federal contract opportunity is for "Peace Operations Training and Assistance in Zambia", which requires the development and delivery of peacekeeping training, strategic mentorship, and the procurement and delivery of equipment and supplies. The solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, with questions due by 10:00 AM EDT on September 3, 2024, and proposals due by 12:00 PM EDT on September 27, 2024.
