About this file
This is a General Decision wage determination document (CA20260007) issued by the U.S. Department of Labor on May 18, 2026, establishing prevailing wage rates for construction contracts in California counties including Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Marin, Modoc, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba.
The determination covers building, heavy, and highway construction projects (excluding Amador County only), dredging projects, and related work. Prevailing wage rates are provided for numerous classifications including asbestos workers, boilermakers, bricklayers, carpenters, electricians, elevator mechanics, ironworkers, laborers, painters, plumbers, roofers, sheet metal workers, and truck drivers, among others. Rates include both base hourly wages and fringe benefit percentages that vary by classification and geographic area. Wage rates are identified by various markers (union rates, survey rates, state-adopted rates, and supplemental classifications) with effective dates ranging from 2020 through 2026. The document includes special provisions for hazardous work, underground structures, and specific construction activities. Executive Order requirements regarding paid sick leave and minimum wages apply to applicable federal contracts. Contractors must comply with these rates for all employees performing work on covered projects, with appeals processes available through the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division.
