About this file
This document is a Specifications file for snow removal services at the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Washburn Ranger District Office in Bayfield County, Wisconsin. The contractor must provide snowplowing services for multiple parking areas including the main office parking lot, employee parking area in the alley, and upper and lower warehouse areas. Snow removal must be completed by 6:00 am daily whenever snow accumulation reaches 1 inch or more within a 24-hour period. The Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) will contact the contractor to request any additional plowing beyond the standard requirement. No snow plowing services are required on Federal holidays, and the contractor is not responsible for removing snow from the site using heavy equipment.
The specifications indicate that a snow blowing unit mounted on heavy equipment is the preferred method for snow removal due to limited space constraints at the facility. Designated areas for pushing or blowing snow will be determined through discussion between the government and the contractor prior to work commencement. These specifications establish the baseline service requirements and operational parameters for the snow removal contract.
