About this file
This document contains an environmental restoration area map and related federal contract opportunity notice. The map depicts areas at Keesler Air Force Base that have environmental restrictions due to past contamination. Several sites are designated for restoration and have limitations such as prohibiting residential development, soil disturbance, or wetlands alteration. The related solicitation seeks a service-disabled veteran-owned small business to perform mill and overlay, storm drainage replacement, and road repairs on Ploesti Drive for $500,000 to $1 million. Interested firms must register in the System for Award Management and check the website for amendments by the proposal due date. The North American Industry Classification code is 237310 and the work must be completed within 180 days of notice to proceed.

In the event contaminated soil or groundwater is encountered, the contractor shall be responsible for management and disposal of all contaminated media in accordance with all federal, state and local environmental regulations . Contaminated media shall be containerized pending analysis and disposal. The disposal facility should be contacted to determine what analyses are required for proper disposal. All questions or requests for additional information should be directed to the Keesler Civil Engineer Environmental office.
