About this file

This document is an attachment that defines the Environmental Management System (EMS) Business Policy and Scope for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). The EMS covers the design and manufacture of security products, acquisition of materials and equipment, and the disposal and recycling of manufacturing waste at the BEP facilities. The policy commits the BEP to continually improving products and processes, preventing pollution, and investing in employees, facilities, and equipment to enable improvement and provide a safe workplace. The scope considers external and internal issues, compliance obligations, organizational units and functions, activities, products and services, and the authority and ability to exercise control and influence.

The related federal contract opportunity is for a non-personal services contract to obtain and deliver bulk solvents to be stored in the flammable liquid storage building at the BEP Western Currency Facility. The government intends to establish Master Blanket Purchase Agreements to facilitate the procurement of continuous solvents, delivery, and pickup.
