Due to extreme temperature and humidity fluctuations during the fall, it may require more heating and/or cooling. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to provide additional units if the required temperature of 72 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit is not achieved.
1.3 Scope: The self-supported HVAC units shall maintain an internal temperature of 72 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit in each of the four (4) GP Medium tents with their own power generation.
The HVAC units shall be delivered and maintained within Fort Knox at the following locations: south of building 6573, north of building 6519, Sanders Spring Lake parking lot (base of hill where the Facility 8104 sign is) and Sanders Spring (rope bridge).

The contractor shall have all the HVAC systems fully operational and start cooling every GP Medium tent no later than 23 Oct 2024 at 0800 hours EST. GP Medium tents shall reach the desired 72 to 78 degrees interior temperature no later than 23 Oct 2024 at 1200 hours EST. The contractor shall maintain this desired interior temperature range of 72 to 78 degrees through 27 Oct 2024 at 1200 hours EST. The contractor shall start recovery of their equipment on 28 Oct 2024 at 0800 hours EST and be completed NLT 1600 hours EST.
1.3.1. Each HVAC unit shall heat/cool the 16’x 32’ GP Medium tents with insulated rating of R1, dirt base flooring and 16 personnel with an interior temperature range between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit. The 16 personnel staying in the GP Medium tents will provide constant travel in and out of the tent. The HVAC units shall have the capability to feed two (2) 20” tent penetration points. The penetration points are on one end of the tent, approximately 2-foot above the ground (see illustration below).
