Statement of Work – Potomac Pavement Preservation Project Potomac Pavement Preservation

General Information

1.0 Scope of Work

The base bid consists of pothole repairs, crack sealing, traffic control, and mobilization. All operations are confined to Forest Roads 1, 104, and 112 on the Potomac Ranger District. Different levels of asphalt repair are required and are described in the project plan set. Traffic Control shall be in accordance with the MUTCD.

2.0 Background

Forest Roads 1, 104, and 112 are asphalt paved roads in need of repairs. These are single lane roads in the remote area of Spruce Mountain on the Potomac Ranger District. The WVDOT 2023 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS for ROADS AND BRIDGES are hereby incorporated into this contract when referenced by the special contract specifications for the purposes of materials and installation. In case of conflict, the special contract specifications shall govern. Under no circumstance shall the WVDOT specifications govern measurement and/or payment. Acceptance will be based on conformance to contract requirements as determined by required testing and visual inspection. 100 Series Specifications from the WVDOT specifications do not apply. Requirements in the plans shall govern over any specification requirements.

3.0 Deliverables / Schedule

The Period of Performance is 5/5/2026 – 10/5/2026.

No work is permissible 5/22/26-5/29/26, 6/29/26-7/7/26, and 9/3/26-9/11/26.
