About this file

The document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the removal and replacement of a 5-ton hoist at Building 5778, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, dated 15 April 2025. The SOW requires a contractor to completely remove the existing hoist and install a new modern design hoist in the Main Hangar, meeting specific requirements including compliance with ASME B30 safety standards, OSHA regulations, and Air Force occupational safety guidelines.

Key requirements include installing the new hoist without disrupting current mission capabilities, conducting work between 0730-1630 Monday through Friday, obtaining base access through specific entry procedures, and providing a 30-day/180-day warranty on labor and materials. The project involves furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, and labor, with the government providing workspace, utilities, and electrical work for safety lock-out switch relocation. Site-specific considerations include having clear access, appropriate parking and staging areas, and ensuring the building is ready for hoist installation.
