About this file

This document provides guidance on requesting and updating a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number from Dun & Bradstreet for the purpose of doing business with the US federal government. It outlines the free online process for obtaining a new DUNS number, modifying existing DUNS record information, or looking up an existing DUNS number. Key details include submitting the request form at fedgov.dnb.com/webform to initiate a new DUNS record request, modification, or lookup. For new or modified requests, the form requires basic company information for verification before a DUNS number is issued or changes applied. Requests are fulfilled by a Dun & Bradstreet agent and confirmation is provided via email. The related federal contract opportunity is a five-year, $7.2 million contract with the US Agency for International Development to assist with monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for the Local Works Program in North Macedonia, including developing a monitoring plan and reporting results.
