About this file

This is a Project Narrative template spreadsheet for applicants requesting slip-on tanker units through the Department of Interior's Office of Wildland Fire grant program. The template allows for either single entity applications or consolidated applications with multiple entities/locations, containing tabs for up to 10 different entity locations. Each tab requires detailed information including: applicant contact details, entity location details, confirmation of U.S. local government status, geographic area designation, National Wildfire Risk to Homes percentage, population served, number of slip-on tankers requested, and comprehensive vehicle specifications.

For each vehicle that will receive a slip-on tanker unit, applicants must provide detailed information including make, model, year, VIN, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), vehicle curb weight, available payload calculations, slip-on unit weights (dry and wet), estimated equipment and personnel weight, and total fire-ready weight calculations. This template supports up to three vehicles per entity location and is designed to ensure vehicles can safely accommodate the additional weight of slip-on tanker units and associated equipment while meeting operational requirements for wildland firefighting activities.
