About this file
This document is an attachment related to a state and local contract opportunity for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to develop and/or update its formal training programs, including the curricula, modules, instructor manuals, student guides, student workbooks, and tests/assessments/practicums for its light rail, heavy rail, Operations Control Center (OCC), Bus Operations, Engineering & Maintenance, and Right-of-Way (ROW)/Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) Safety Training programs. The contract opportunity requires a range of training materials and delivery methods, with projects defined as small, medium, large, or complex based on the scope of work. Weekly status reporting and reviews, as well as a structured methodology for training development and instructor skills development, are required as part of the project management structure.
The document outlines specific project scope guidelines for small, medium, complex, and large training programs, with estimates of the number of hours required to develop one hour of training. Pricing and funding details are not provided, but the scope indicates the need for experienced training development resources and a systematic approach to curriculum design, instructor training, and training quality assurance.
