About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the U.S. Coast Guard's requirement for 40 engine air filter guards for 47-ft motor lifeboats. The contractor must manufacture and deliver the guards according to a government-provided "Intake Shield Sketch (7_30_2025)", with delivery to 13 different Coast Guard stations and spare locations across the northeastern and western United States, including stations in Maine, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, California, Oregon, and Washington. Quantities range from 2-6 guards per location, with 4 guards designated as spares.

The performance timeline requires the contractor to have guards available for preliminary Coast Guard acceptance within 60 days of award, with subsequent packaging and shipping to specified locations within 14 days of acceptance. The Coast Guard will conduct a one-day (potentially up to three-day) inspection at the contractor's facility, and upon delivery will photograph and document any issues that must be addressed before final acceptance. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all materials, facilities, and services, with the government providing only the intake shield technical sketch.
