About this file
This is a Delivery and Installation Instructions attachment for a small business solicitation issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for Centinela State Prison located at 2302 Brown Road, Imperial, CA 92251. The solicitation requests delivery and installation of vending machines including nine frozen units, five combo snack/drink units, twelve cold drink units, and four snack ambient units across multiple prison locations. The project involves replacing 35 existing vending machines at various yard and security areas within the facility. Delivery and installation must be completed within 5 weeks (35 calendar days) after receipt of order, with all machines fully operational by the 35th day. Scheduling must be coordinated a minimum of two weeks in advance and requires coordination between the vendor, the Bureau of Enterprises Program (BEP) Vendor, and the BEP Coordinator to verify machine placement, configurations, and security clearance requirements.
Installation requirements mandate that all vending machines be newly manufactured, delivered with a truck equipped with a lift-gate, set in place side by side and banded together, tested for proper operation, and accompanied by on-site training to end users on operational features and preventative maintenance. The contractor must remove all packing materials and existing equipment, provide barcodes from removed machines with invoicing, and obtain a recycling receipt if applicable. Existing equipment must include either a trade-in value offer or documentation of transfer to a recycler. Invoices will be signed only upon completion of all purchase order requirements and must include detailed descriptions of each unit, delivery location, brand, model, serial number, and warranty information. Failure to meet delivery terms may result in contract termination for default, and the contractor must notify the department within ten days if delivery terms cannot be met.
