About this file
This document is a detailed USDA specification for two 4x4 Environmental Cab Utility Vehicles (UTVs) with specific mandatory requirements. The UTVs must have a 1100 cc or greater diesel motor, shaft-driven hydrostatic transmission with 4WD or AWD, a fully enclosed cab with heating and air conditioning, and accommodate 2 passengers. Critical specifications include a Certified Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS), front and rear disk brakes, a payload capacity of 1600 lbs or greater, a steel cargo bed with 1100 lbs capacity, and all-terrain tires in orange or high-visibility color.
The procurement includes trade-in credit for two existing 2019 Kubota RTV X1100 vehicles with different mileage (2324 and 1011 miles). Delivery is specified for the Tusquitee Ranger District in Murphy, NC, with the point of contact being Timmy Williams. The document also includes a comprehensive appendix comparing vehicle standards across multiple regulatory frameworks, detailing requirements for vehicle attributes such as lateral stability, braking performance, occupant protection, and other technical specifications from different standards like OPEI, ROHVA, and SAE.
