About this file
This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division for California County of San Diego (Wage Determination No. 2015-5635, Revision 29, effective 12/03/2025).
The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contract employees across numerous occupational classifications, spanning administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional services, laundry and dry cleaning, machine tool operations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation/mobile equipment operations. All listed occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week, $222.00 weekly, or $962.00 monthly), with an alternative Health & Welfare EO 13706 rate of $5.09 per hour ($203.60 weekly or $882.27 monthly) for SCA-covered contracts also covered by Executive Order 13706. Employees receive two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after 15 years, plus a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Computer employees (occupations 14071-14103) are subject to specific exempt professional requirements under 29 U.S.C. Section 213, with minimum compensation of $27.63 per hour or $684 weekly. Air traffic controllers and weather observers receive night pay differentials (10 percent for night hours 6pm-6am) and Sunday premiums (25 percent). Hazardous duty differentials of eight percent and four percent apply to positions involving explosives and ordnance work. Uniform allowance provisions specify that contractors must furnish uniforms at no cost to employees or reimburse uniform maintenance at $3.35 weekly when applicable. Contractors must conform any unlisted employee classifications through Standard Form 1444, submitted to the Wage and Hour Division for approval within 30 days of contract award.
