About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center's (ALC) requirements for troubleshooting, evaluation, and potential repair of two Logis-Tech MDU-300 Mobile Dehumidification Units (MDUs). The specific MDUs, with serial numbers MDU-0173 and MDU-0163, are used at Coast Guard Air Stations for aircraft dehumidification and require comprehensive assessment to return them to fully operational status.
The SOW outlines a multi-step process including: (1) thorough troubleshooting and evaluation by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), (2) proposing detailed repair actions for Contracting Officer approval, (3) performing only approved repairs, (4) conducting extensive operational testing, and (5) providing formal documentation of all inspections and repairs. Key requirements include using OEM or equivalent parts, complying with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and meeting original equipment specifications. The OEM will only be reimbursed after Quality Assurance personnel confirm satisfactory completion of all approved repair actions, with the ultimate goal of ensuring continued use and extending the equipment's life expectancy.

Only through a contract modification granting approval by the KO, can the OEM commence additional repair work on the accepted T&E discrepancies to return the MDU(s) to a fully serviceable condition.
The OEM shall furnish all inspection materials, facilities, parts, equipment, tools, and services necessary to fulfill the requirements of this Purchase Order (PO). The completion of both MDU repairs are desired to be performed at ALC’s facility.
