About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a generator replacement project for the Los Padres National Forest, administered by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). The project involves supplying and installing a 25kW propane standby generator at the Pacific Valley Fire Station, which will charge a backup battery system for a primary solar-powered site. The base contract requires providing an unused 25kW propane generator meeting specific technical specifications, including CARB certification, single-phase 120/240 VAC output, and compliance with local air quality regulations.
The optional installation services include placing the generator inside the generator building, disconnecting and relocating the existing generator, conducting a factory-certified operational test, transferring electrical load, installing a new propane service line, and providing training for 2-4 government employees. Key deliverables include a project plan, specification sheets, shop drawings, and O&M manuals, with most submissions required within 5-15 business days after contract award. The work must be performed by a California-licensed electrician and comply with multiple national electrical and safety codes, with work limited to 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
