This Statement of Work (SoW) details the replacement of autoclaves at the USDA National Centers for Animal Health (NCAH) in Ames, Iowa. The project involves replacing six pass-through autoclaves in the Diagnostic Virology Laboratory (DVL), specifically one Tuttnauer freestanding autoclave in room 3627 and two Tuttnauer pass-through autoclaves in rooms 3512 and 3536. The replacement units must meet detailed technical specifications, including specific chamber dimensions, door configurations, electrical requirements, control systems, and warranty conditions.

The contractor responsibilities include removing existing equipment, installing new autoclaves to exact specifications, providing comprehensive training, coordinating with USDA personnel, and adhering to strict laboratory access protocols. The project has a 365-day completion timeline, requires technicians with at least 5 years of experience, and mandates specific safety and operational requirements. The replacement autoclaves must have microprocessor controls, ethernet connectivity, specific cycle types, and a 12-month warranty. Contractors must also submit detailed documentation, including installation manuals, engineering data, and redline drawings upon project completion.
