II. SCOPE OF WORK
1. Hotel Use Description. JBER has a requirement for commercial lodging and associated support services within 10 driving miles to JBER. The required commercial lodging will be utilized to lodge JBER, and temporary duty personnel assigned to JBER in support of both real-world emergencies and exercise related actives. The need for lodging will be on an “as-needed” basis, required both when the military exercises, and when real-world emergency scenarios occur.
Military exercises generally occur annually, but have the possibility to occur more frequently.
Lodging requests can span anywhere from two (2) days up to one (1) month or more, depending on the specific operation and need. The objective of this agreement is to provide hotel rooms and associated (authorized) services for JBER personnel in the local area of Anchorage, Alaska while achieving the best terms, conditions, and pricing. Please note, there shall be no third-party contractors accepted for this agreement.
2. General Room Standards. Hotel rooms shall be clean, smoke-free, and in accordance with industry standards. Rooms shall include all standard accommodations found in “midscale” hotels. Midscale hotels generally include but are not limited to the following features/amenities:
internet access, refrigerator, microwave, television with cable access, iron with ironing board, safe, and alarm clock. Rooms shall comply with all Municipal, State and Federal environmental, health and safety standards.
