FOR EVALUATION AND REPAIR

OF U.S. COAST GUARD AIR STATION CLEARWATER

2008 INTERNATIONAL AIRCRAFT REFUELER ENGINE

1 of 8 28 May 2025

1.0 BACKGROUND

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG or simply CG) operates 3,000 and 5,000 gallon aircraft refueler trucks (cargo tank motor vehicles) at our CG locations for refueling aircraft. CG employees perform maintenance and periodic inspections to include daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual, triennial inspections. During recent use and inspection, CG personnel observed an “engine running rough” condition.

In February 2025, CG Air Station (CGAS) Clearwater (CLW) had the refueler diagnosed at a local repair facility as necessitating replacement of suspect components that were causing an “engine running rough” condition.

The CG is requesting the replacement of suspect components from an International dealer repair facility.
