About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the requirements for a 420 Bender System to be utilized at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The equipment will support various aircraft and ground equipment units, including Aerospace Ground Equipment and aircraft such as C-130, C-17, C-5, F-15, B-1, B-52, RQ-4, KC-135, and KC-10. The tube bender must have specific capabilities, including the ability to bend tubing up to 1.5in OD with .065in wall thickness, create bends ≥180 degrees, reconfigure for dual-sided bending, and have a mandrel clamp that rotates 360 degrees. The system requires a comprehensive warranty to ensure minimal mission disruption and must include all necessary dies, mandrels, and an operator's manual.

The SOW outlines strict security and operational requirements for the contractor, including obtaining proper identification, complying with base traffic laws, and adhering to physical security protocols. Contractor personnel must report to the 36th Maintenance Squadron (MXS) and will be subject to background investigations for restricted area access. The normal operating hours are 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The contractor must provide a point of contact who can respond on-site within 1 hour during duty hours and within 2 hours during non-duty hours to address any concerns. Employees are prohibited from bringing weapons onto the base and must follow specific guidelines for vehicle operation and information handling.
