About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement for advanced multiomics analysis services of 48 porcine plasma samples conducted for the Roman L. Hurska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC). The work supports scientific research evaluating the effects of dietary treatment and season of breeding on beef, swine, and sheep industries.
The contractor must deliver simultaneous detection of proteins, lipids, metabolites, and other small compounds through custom liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis. Key technical requirements include: comprehensive batch correction and normalization across all molecular types; quality assurance/quality control results available for user validation; LC-MS feature tables with relative peak area quantification, putative bioinformatic identifications for diverse molecular classes, and association statistics with provided sample variables; and data visualizations including global data structure with dimensional reduction, biological associations with volcano plots, and pathway enrichment results integrating multiple molecular classes. The contractor must also provide descriptions of instrument parameters and raw LC-MS data for user validation. Three primary deliverables are specified: (1) raw LC-MS data files following plasma extraction and sample preparation; (2) custom data processing, analyses, and results with consultation including appropriate peak picking, alignment, compound annotation, and feature detection; and (3) advanced statistical analyses and pathway enrichment results using multivariate statistics for multiple molecular classes. All deliverables must be completed and delivered to USMARC, 844 Road 313, Clay Center, Nebraska 68933 within 90 days of contract award.
