Statement of Work Project: Hydraulic Bale Processor
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work:
Provide a Hydraulic Bale Processor.
2.0 Background:
The mission of the USDA-ARS NADC Animal Resources Unit in Ames, Iowa is to provide animal care and support services for internal users that rely on animals and animal products for research, testing, and training.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
• Hydraulic Bale Processor must:
o Able to be attached to and operated by Skid Loader with HP requirement NTE 70 HP o Able to be attached to three-point hitch for operation with Tractor o Be hydraulic driven o Handle round bales NLT 5’ in diameter o Handle partial large square bales NLT 4’x4’x4’ o Handle straw, cornstalk, and grass/alfalfa hay o Have directional swivel chute with blow distance NLT 40’ o Have hydraulic bale clamp o Have self-loading gate o Have load sensing crossbeater
• Machine size, dimensions and specifications o Capacity (m3) 1.7 o Bale Chamber dimensions (m) - minimum

Complete unit shall be delivered onsite within 240 days of award.
