About this file
This document is the Specifications for Vending Machines attachment for a state and local contract opportunity issued by the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). The solicitation is for the procurement and installation of four cold drink vending machines, with two machines each for the northbound and southbound locations of the Tejon Pass Rest Area in Lebec, California. The vending machines must meet various federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Underwriters Laboratories standards, and energy efficiency requirements. The specifications detail the general requirements for the vending machines, such as electrical, accessibility, and dimensional features. The contract requires the successful supplier to remove and trade-in or recycle the existing vending machines, coordinate with the visually impaired operator on machine configuration, and deliver and install the new machines within 35 calendar days of the order. The supplier shall provide a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
The contract opportunity does not provide specifics on pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, or other financial details. However, it does state that the supplier shall identify any proposed subcontractors for delivery, installation, or warranty work, for which the prime supplier retains responsibility.
